This concrete groover hand tool creates a 1.5 inch depth groove in the concrete and is ideal for slabs with a 6 inch slab depth. Made from stainless steel these are used for decorative effect and also to protect the slab from random cracking from shrinkage which can occur in the period just after placement and before hardening.
Concrete professionals can control this random cracking by creating grooves in the hardening concrete to help release the stress from shrinking.
